Panic Attacks - A Review of ‘Panic Away’

What we appreciate about Joe Barry’s ‘Panic Away’ program and in particular the One Move Technique™, is that it gives people the ability to immediately stop fearing another panic attack. And because the fear of an attack frequently is the spur that sets one off, removing the fear is a very simple yet amazingly effective way to eliminate those panic attacks…

The technique has been developed and taught by Joe Barry, himself a former sufferer of frequent panic attacks and GAD (General Anxiety Disorder). He has developed a completely natural approach to eliminating 100% of general anxiety and panic attacks. Although this may seem very hard to believe for someone who has had this condition for some time, this information is now available to enable people to be free from anxiety.

Important points about the Panic Away Program

  • It does not rely on outdated anxiety techniques such as ‘deep breathing’, positive affirmations, or distraction.
  • It takes seconds to implement wherever you are, whether at home, at work or out socializing with friends.
  • This technique is not based on NLP or hypnosis. It is an advanced cognitive technique born from traditional psychology that everyone can apply regardless of how long the anxiety has been present.
  • You will not be asked to follow a time consuming 30 step program that will bring only minor improvements.
  • After reading and absorbing this information you will immediately have the confidence to tackle any of the big stresses you may have been putting off e.g. driving, air travel, interviews etc.

Testimonial:

I have the panic away ebook, I am about half way through it. I guess I was looking for something to cure me from panic and anxiety all together and instantly.

It didn’t do that instantly, plus I only just started reading it a week ago. It is definately helping though, the ‘one move’ method that he talks about, it does work, I felt a panic attack coming on today and I did the ‘one move’ and it went away, and has stayed away.

I don’t like to recommend books like these because some of them are out there just for those people to make money, but I do recommend this one, it is very good.

Taking Control of Every Situation

Like it or not, we are all gladiators. We go to sleep and wake up in a social arena from which there is no escape. Challenge upon challenge confronts us, walls restrain us, and a mob of spectators mocks, sneers, or cheers us. Each and every day brings new battles whether we want them or not and whether we're up to them or not. Life forces us to face one skirmish after another - no choice in the matter.

What we can choose, though, is which kind of gladiator to be, victor or victim.

Being a victim in this social arena translates into having bad relationships.

Most people are victims - victims of their own perceptions.

That's because people don't develop and listen to their own unique, authentic self. Rather they allow their mental spectators - those little tyrants rattling around in their heads - to tell them second by second how to fight their battles, what they can and cannot do. These tyrants applaud and they hiss, they encourage and they discourage.

These mental spectators are the memories of the judgments of real-life people. For example, it's the memory of your aunt saying, "I hope you marry someone rich, because you're not going far on brains." It's the echo of your father growling, "You've got a back problem - no spine."

And their influence over your relationships can't be overestimated.

Millions of people accept the judgments of their mental spectators as the truth and, therefore, the mediocre results that come from believing those judgments.

With so many people living this way, the question becomes, is this the way I have to live? Fortunately, the answer is not unless you want to.

Once you identify your mental spectators - and your interactions with them - you can move beyond victim and assume the role of victor.

What it takes are eight steps for getting command, eight steps you can apply to most any situation you want altered. You can positively influence your relationships, your employment options, any aspect of your life.

Let's look at the steps. Read On...

Thinking and Positive Attitude for Powerful Self-Esteem

When you first try to tap in to the power of positive thinking, you need to start in a small way. If you don’t believe it will work, or you're not sure, then suspend your disbelief and try to work on small changes. It’s one thing to tell yourself, “Tomorrow, when I wake up in the morning I won’t snooze several times and feel drowsy for the rest of the day,” and quite another to tell yourself, “Tomorrow, when I wake up in the morning I’ll be living in a fourteen bedroom mansion and rolling in riches.” (Unless, of course, you are in fact independently wealthy and living in a mansion at the moment; in which case you might try to think your way into ownership of a small country.)

The process of making positive thinking work for you begins with breaking down your existing thought structure and creating a new positive attitude. In order to make room for new methods and ideas, you must first rip out all the old negative thinking patterns you’ve been building throughout your life. For some, this can be a gradual process: as you witness positive thinking work for you, one small step at a time, you will slowly clear out those 'good-things-only-happen-to-other-people' thoughts and be able to cultivate the seeds of change. With each small change you will find that your positive attitude also changes.

"The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives." - William James

"Our lives are what our thoughts make of them." - Marcus Aurelius

What's holding you back? Even those who fully embrace the theory of positive thinking may feel some qualms over entrusting their lives to mere thought. There are many possibilities that could be producing weeds in your mental garden, and the best way to get rid of a weed is to yank it out, roots and all. How do you overcome the negativity and lay the foundation for a healthy life outlook?

Self-Esteem, or what you privately think of yourself is the key.

For most of human existence, self-esteem was an unheard-of notion akin to the theories of those heretics who believed the world was round. The term "self-esteem" - defined by Webster’s Dictionary as "pride in oneself; self-respect" - made its way into the common public awareness during the 1960s and 1970s as a catch-all term to describe the essence of parenting problems.

The "old ways" of parenting were pronounced barbaric and damaging to the budding self-esteem of our youth, and many parents fearful of raising unhappy, ill-adjusted children took advice that led to a generation of children with high self-esteem...so high it eclipsed personal responsibility and created a "me-first" mentality. On the other hand, most of us are taught that thinking highly of ourselves is a vain, selfish and undesirable trait. Advice telling us to feel better about ourselves and occasionally put us first seems counter-intuitive at best. After all, isn’t self-love the first step on the road to Ego Central? Many people want to feel good about themselves, but guilt too often rears its ugly head and stops healthy self-esteem from developing.

Because of these conflicting viewpoints, self-esteem is a tricky little emotion to manipulate. It’s important to strike a balance between modesty and greed. It takes practice to convince yourself that you are a worthwhile and deserving person, while at the same time keeping in mind that you’re not the centre of the universe. Though it may sound impossible, it’s actually simple to accomplish.
